The Cougar Classic is the annual high school speech and debate tournament hosted by the University of Houston. Dozens of schools and hundreds of competitors, coaches, and judges come from all across the region and country to compete in a variety of events. The tournament is generally held on the second weekend of January on the UH main campus, and the invitation for that year’s tournament is posted in November or early December. You can find the tournament on the TFA Calendar, and you can email the tournament with any questions as well.
